Glamorous Winter Makeup Using Mac Products

Hey guys,

I'm back with another tutorial which is one of my favourite posts to create. It gives me a chance to play with makeup and experiment with it. On the other hand it feels really weird doing really bold or glamorous makeup looks first thing in the morning but that's the only time I have good light so I just take it on the chin ;).
The look that I created was inspired by my first MAC lipstick which is Diva. It's a deep, vampy red shade in matte finish. It makes me imagine myself as a more sophisticates and sexy being than what I am and that's what I tried to achieve with this look. I hope you like it.

Face

I primed my face with the Catrice Fine and Prime base to ensure that my foundation applies smoothly.

\

I then used my new Infallible foundation in 015 Porcelain (the lightest shade) by L'Oreal. It's super high coverage and it has a lovely satin finish. I then used my favourite concealer which is the Catrice Camouflage Cream in Ivory to cover up my under eye circles and the redness around my nose. To finish off I powdered my face using the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Transparent.

I then decided to give my face some shape by contouring it with my Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze bonzer. Then to give myself some colour as my nana would say I applied the dusty pink shade from the Sugar and Spice palette from the same brand. I decided to skip using highlighter as the rest of my face was going to be pretty dressed up and went straight onto brows which I filled in with the Fix and Focus kit also from Makeup Revolution. I made my brows a bit more arched than usual as I wanted my eyes to really draw some attention.

Eyes

For this whole look I used the Mac Warm Neutrals palette which I love but it does not get put into use enough.

So I started off by mattifying my lid with a pale matte shad to make blending easier.

I then softly marked my crease with a warm matte brown shade.

I then deepened it with a dark brown shade to really add depth into my eye. I also dragged a little bit of this shade under my lower lash line.

To make the look more mysterious, glamorous and sexy I used black in the outer V of my eye with a pointy blending brush to really give them shape and draw attention.

Then to make the later eye shadows pop and stick I used a white creme eyeshadow on my eyelid and blended it in with my ring finger. I then applied a shimmery light shade from the palette on top of it. and in my inner corner.

Then to my eyes look a bit bigger I used a flesh toned eyeliner from Makeup Revolution called the Amazing eye brightener.

I then used a gel liner from L'Oreal in a black shade to create a strong cat-eye and topped this with my favourite mascara which is the NYC Big Bold in Extra Black.

To finish off I applied some falsies and my MAC lipstick in Diva and I was done.

I hope that you likes this post and I'll see you in my next one.

January Sales Try-on Haul

Hey guys,

I hope that you're all doing well. I decided to treat myself to a little tiny bit of shopping following the recent very stressful and illness ridden weeks. I hope that you like what I bought.

Victoria's Secret

I purchased 2 body mists from Victoria's Secret as they were having a 5 for £30 deal (my friend bought 3 body mists). They're normally sold for about £13 and we got them for £6 so it was a pretty good deal and a good way to try out some new scents.
I purchased the scents Pure Seduction which is a really sweet and feminine scent and Mango Temptation which is a fruity scent. I prefer the latter from the two but they're both really lovely.

Boots

I also went scent hunting in Boots as their Christmas sets were 50% off or more. I ended up snatching the Daisy by Marc Jacobs set from the shelf. I use the word snatch as the shelf was empty but a girl put her set down and I pushed through the crowd to get it. Not my proudest moment.
Price: around £35

Shoes

I also bought a few pairs of shoes from various places. What can I say I love me some good shoes.
First I got this cute pair of navy, velvet flat from New Look with really deep toe cleavage which I have grown fond of after buying these babies.
Price: £7

I also got the bargain of the year with this awesome pair of Kickers. They are a statement, chunky, 90's influenced, sort of industrial but feminine boots. The deal was so good that the guy at the till had to scan the box twice as he couldn't belive it himself. They were marked down from £85 to only £30.

The last pair of shoes that I got was from the courtesy of my lovely boyfriend and they were not on sale. They're these awesome holographic, burgundy Vans. They make any outfit look super super cool but still effortless and I absolutely love them.

Clothes - Ark

I also made a lovely little order on Ark which is one of my favourite stores. It's got a similar vibe to Urban Outfitters which I love but much more affordable prices. Pretty much everything on sale was on par with Primark. I have bought 3 other items which I'm not showing in this haul as 2 don't fit me and one is an amazing white body con dress but I have to buy special underwear before I can wear it out.

Sunflower dress: Size - Medium, Price - £12
Denim Boyfriend Batwing Jacket : Size - 12, Price - £18

 Velvet crop top: Size - 6, Price - £10
Poker face: Priceless

 Tartan swing dress : Size - 10, Price - £15

 Hype sweater dress: Size - 12, Price - £18

That's it for my little purchases guys. I hope that you enjoyed my haul and that you don't mind my derpy face. The 'photographer' didn't take too many shots so I didn't have much to work with and I felt awkward when we were taking the pictures. I'll see you in my next post.
