Holy Grail Products

Hi guys, I thought I would do a post on some of my favorite beauty products since I want to start my blog off on a positive note. So here we go.

1. Rimmel London : Match Perfection Foundation
This foundation is the absolute bomb for me. I use it in the shade 'porcelain' and it's one of the very few foundations that I found that are pale enough for my skin tone as well as yellow enough (because my skin has predominantly yellow  undertones). It has medium coverage but it is very build-able. Its consistency is very runny but it applies smoothly and evenly. I find that it makes my skin look great without giving me that heavy make up look. The only downside of this product is that I have to leave it to dry before I apply my powder to set it otherwise it goes shiny almost immediately and can look patchy (due to multiple applications of powder) - i.e. I apply my foundation and concealer do my eye make up and fill in my eyebrows and then I go back to powder my face.
Speaking of powder:
2. Rimmel London : Stay Matte Powder
I have combination to oily skin and therefore having a good powder to set my foundation with is crucial. With this power I find that I might only need to blot my face once during the day and if I am going on during the late afternoon/evening I might re-powder my face, but otherwise one application is sufficient to last me all day which is fantastic. There's not much to say about this powder apart from it's great and you should give it a go.

3. NYC : Big Bold Mascara
This is my favorite mascara off all time. I discovered it last summer and I was in love with it from the first use. This mascara provides length and thickness of the lashes like no other, doesn't smudge easily, doesn't have fallout and has a colossal brush. If you like big, bold lashes (hehe ;) ) and you liked the Falsies Mascara from Maybelline then this mascara is for you since it's like the falsies one but better.

4. Nivea Visage: Light moisturising day cream
As previously mentioned I have oily skin. However my skin isn't just oily but is also acne prone and therefore I have to be very careful about what I put on it. Any face products with harsh chemicals and  perfume break me out horrifically. This face cream however does none of those things as it is gentle, nourishing for my skin and non greasy. I have been using it for the past two years and I don't think I'm going to stop any time soon.

5. Chloe Perfume
This scent has been my favorite for years, I think ever since I was 13. It's feminine without being overly sweet and childish, string without being overpowering and has a fantastic lasting power since it stays on my skin all day.

What my blog is going to be about...

Hi guys,
As the title suggests this is an introductory post an my brand new blog. However first I should tell you a little bit about me.
My name is Mollie and I am a university student. I love tea which I drink  with no milk and 2 sugars. I thought that calling my blog "Mollie's cup of tea" would be a 'funny' play on words since my blog is going to be reviewing things that I may like or dislike and therefore they might be my cup of tea. Haha. As you can see I have a very dorky sense of humor.
I want this blog to be about all the things that I like such as fashion, make up, films, guinea pigs, books etc. I guess at first it is going to be a combination of things and one day it might take some shape. But, let's not jump ahead of ourselves. For now I'd like to welcome you to my blog and enjoy your cup of tea.
