7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag

Hey guys,

I'm here today with something a little different : a tag post. I recently saw this on the interwebs and I thought that it'd be fun and interesting to do. I hope you enjoy.

1: Greed: What is your most expensive beauty item? What is your most inexpensive?

My most expensive beauty items are my Chloe Perfume and my Mac Warm Neutrals Palette. Both are totally worth the money.

My least expensive beauty items are definitively my Makeup Revolution Lipsticks and blushes. They're only £1 each and they're awesome in quality.

2. Wrath : What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Well the obvious 1st choice is of course eyeliner. It makes such a difference to any makeup look and I just don't feel right without it. However, it is such a pain the backside to apply. Like, seriously. It's impossible to get even, always looks better on one eye than the other, sometimes it transfers to my lid or just comes out extremely dramatic when I wanted a delicate, simple look on my eyes.

The other type of product that I love/hate is dark lipstick. It looks awesome but it has to be applied carefully and precisely which takes a lot of time. With lighter lipstick you barely even have to look in the mirror but with dark ones you have to take your sweet time in an attempt to make it look ok. Moreover, there is the issue of maintenance. Dark lipstick have a tendency to smudge all over your chin when they as much as make contact with your hand or food. So you try to eat and drink super duper carefully and everyone looks at you weird. As well as that you have to top it up, because when it fades, the chances are that the rim of your lips is extremely dark and there's nothing in the middle. I think we can all agree that that is not a good look. But, at the end of the day it's all worth it because it looks fierce.

3. Gluttony: What beauty items are the most delicious?

Perfume! All of my perfumes are very sweet and just smell like candy. Not developed the taste for the more sophisticated scents yet, I just want to smell like cotton candy.

4. Sloth: What beauty items do you neglect, due to laziness?

Ok, so I have a confession to make. I am extremely lazy when it comes to applying body butter or body lotions or anything of the kind.  I know my skin could definitively use the extra moisture but I just can't be bothered since showering is such a chore with hair washing, shaving etc. I may do it on a day when I feel like pampering myself but other than that, that is the beauty task/chore that I always fail to complete.

5. Pride: Which beauty item gives you the most confidence?

Brow products and mascara. I can skip foundation and leave my skin looking crappy because as long as I have my brows and eyelashes done I feel good about myself. I just feel like those products make the biggest and best difference to my face.

6. Lust: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

So, I don't really like this question because it implies that you should answer with physical attributes which to me are by far not all that important. But for the sake of this tag I shall answer it.
I think that the most attractive things about a man are his eyes. A good, piercing pair of eyes can bring me to my knees. Other than that I like men who are strong. I don't mean hench and muscular but strong enough to lift me up and that look like they won't be pushed over by a small gust of wind.

7. Envy: What items do you like to receive most as gifts?

This may sound bad but I like to receive high end makeup products as presents. This is mainly because it's something that despite wanting, I am unlikely to buy for myself. One of the most recent examples of this is the Naked Smokey Palette which I received for my birthday from my boyfriend. I am grateful for any gift that I receive but if someone wishes to splurge a bit more on a present for me I suggest something a little bit luxurious.

I hope that you enjoyed this post and I'll see you in my next one.

Matte Autumn Makeup Look

 Hey guys,

I'm here today to show you my recent everyday makeup look that is perfect for autumn. It's dark, matte and super easy to create. I hope you like it.

Base

I start off by priming my face with the BeautyBay primer. I blend it in with my fingers to smooth out my skin and create an even base for my foundation.

Next I apply the L'Oreal True Match foundation in the colour N1 Ivory all over my face. I blend this out with the Zoeva 104 Buffer Brush.

I then conceal my dark circles and any imperfections that are peaking through with the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer. I blend this in with my fingers as this melts the product and makes it adhere to the skin better.

As always, I set my base with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder and the Real Techniques powder brush.

Contour

To contour my cheekbones, I use the Zoeva 109 Luxe Face Paint brush and the Bahama Mama Bronzer by The Balm. To contour the rest of my face I use the same product but I apply it with a fluffy contouring brush from Coastal Scents.

For my blush I used the Makeup Revolution blush in Treat which is a peach shade with a Zoeva 126 Luxe Cheek Finish brush.

To add glow to the top of my cheek bones I use the same brush and the Mary-Lou Manizer by The Balm.

Eyes

I start my eye makeup by filling in my brows with the Zoeva 322 Brow Line brush and shade 378 from Inglot.

For my eyeshadow look I use the Meet Matt(e) Nude palette by The Balm.
To highlight and matify my brow bone, I used the shade Matt Malloy.

Then, I gently mark my crease with the Matt Singh shade and the Mac 217 brush.

To further define the crease I use the Zoeva 228 Luxe Crease brush and the shade Matt Rosen.

I also use the same shade along my lower lashline to further define my eye.

Next, I blend the shade Matt Garcia all over my lid.

To open up my eye and brighten it, I used the shade Matt Malloy in my inner corners.

I then applied some winged liner along my lashline with the L'Oreal gel liner.

To finish off the eyes, I applied the NYC Big Bold Mascara in Extra black to my lashes, followed by the NYC Volume By Lash Mascara.

Lips

For my lips I used the Essence Lipliner in 08 Red blush and the Mac Diva lipstick.
